Strider's principal activity is in the warehousing and distribution of surplus commercial aircraft parts. The types of aircraft supported are Boeing 767,757,747,737 and 727, Boeing/Douglas MD-11,DC10, DC9 and DC8 as well as Airbus A300,A301,A320 and Lockheed L-1011. The source of our parts varies from Manufacturer's and Airline's surplus ,teardown of retired aircraft and bankruptcies. Most of the inventory is new or reconditioned by FAA approved repair stations. We also manage several consignments from companies that have marketing agreements with us to sell their inventory. Our principal advertising medium is the Inventory Locator Service (ILS) which we have found to offer the most effective and broadest data base. Approvals Strider Aviation has been a member of the Aviation Supplier Association since its inception and we support their efforts to establish acceptable quality control standards for the industry. We have been an accredited dealer under the guidelines of FAA AC-00-56 since 1999. Our quality assurance manual is open for inspection by interested parties on request. Vendors Under the guidelines developed by ASA in its ASA-100 standard issue 3 , we are required to maintain a completed Q.C self questionnaire for all vendors, both FAA repair stations and surplus parts dealers, which is the basis for our list of approved vendors.
